About Me

In private practice for over 30 years / since 1991. Trained at Guang An Men Hospital, Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in Beijing China. I have maintained a very good relationship with the hospital and with friends there, and return every few years to do a little bit of study and some visiting and traveling.

Teach and/or have taught at AZ School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Tucson) at intervals since late '90's.

Served on the AZ Acupuncture State Board for 6 years, including position of Chairperson.

Have worked with Reproductive Health Center / Advanced Fertility Care (Dr. Scott Hutchison) in Tucson since 2006. Over the years I have known many many babies, some of whom I have watched grow and some of whom now also receive acupuncture.

Have traveled to Central America and Chiapas Mexico after natural disasters (Acupuncture International Brigade) to train medical personnel, lay healthcare workers and indigenous healers how to do acupuncture for trauma/PTSD, as well as set up free community clinics for the affected and underserved communities.

Supervise Acu-Detox Specs. for a number of Behavioral Health and Addictions centers in Tucson since late 90's.

I have maintained my own good health for many years with only acupuncture / Chinese medicine and other natural modalities.

In all my years of experience I have treated many many different health issues, aches and pains, as well as just a tooth ache or plain ol' stress . From tots to elders, all can benefit.

An important factor to keep in mind:  an acute situation may require one or very few treatments, but a longer term health issue will usually require up to ten or or more regular treatments, and a years long/chronic issue can require a few months or longer, in order to effect optimum improvement.  Acupuncture is not woo-woo, it is an intricate science, and the needles have no similarity to hypodermic needles, and its benefits are multiple.  Patients that have been coming to me for many years generally now just come once a month or so for tune-ups or as needed plus the benefit of a nice snooze while laying on the table with the filiforms in place. And there are those who just come for a seasonal tune-up just before the start of each new season. Another thing to keep in mind is that everyone responds differently. Some may quickly have drastic results and some may have moderate or minimal results. Yet everyone benefits in more ways than one.
